Harpreet Sachdeva, Lawyer

Harpreet Sachdeva

Partner, LL.B.

When someone asked Harpreet what she wanted to be when she grew up, she said, “Batman”.

While not a masked vigilante, some similarities to her childhood dream shine through. Harpreet is a lawyer by day, mom by night, fighting one dirty diaper at a time.

“I always wanted to help people, make a difference. We have a duty as lawyers to use our knowledge and skills to achieve positive social change.”

Even when off the job, Harpreet works hard to make her community a better place. Harpreet has supported the Sick Kids Foundation for over a decade. She has been involved with many fundraising events in her free time, such as the Miles for Smiles annual run, the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and the Streetsville Bread and Honey Race.
Before she started her career helping clients fight for their rights, Harpreet obtained a B.A. and M.A. (English Literature) from Panjab University, India.

Harpreet worked as a litigation law clerk at a top-rated personal injury firm in the GTA for over nine years before attending law school. She had years of hands-on experience with civil litigation and personal injury matters before even attending law school. Harpreet attained her LL.B. from the University of London in 2011, completed her NCA certification at the University of Saskatchewan in 2014, and was called to the bar in 2015.

Harpreet articled with a boutique litigation firm in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, handling criminal and civil and estates matters. She handled docket court, bail hearings, direct and cross-examinations, and submissions on regular basis. She is well versed in the Criminal Code, CDSA, and Youth Criminal Justice Act charges and has a passion for protecting her clients’ rights in every case.

After being called to the Bar in Ontario, Harpreet was hired on by a leading personal injury firm. She put her years of experience in personal injury to good use, representing clients with respect to accident benefits claims, tort claims, long-term disability claims, CPP disability claims and critical illness claims.

You can always count on Harpreet to fight for your rights!
